Theresa’s expertise within the performance and visual arts worlds was put to the test when collaborating on Ballet La Crosse’s first original full-length ballet, performed at The Weber Center this past fall. The ballet was a tremendous success, and Theresa’s help was an integral part of this. As photographer, costume designer and production advisor, she was able to help us create and maintain the visual theme of the ballet from beginning to end, through visual concept and design, media materials, theater relations, and task management. Her networking capabilities brought artists and stage technicians together with our dancers and parents to help be a part of the behind-the-scenes process, which was both an efficient and meaningful experience for all. Theresa gives more than 100% to a project and you can trust that she will make an idea come to life and surpass your expectations.

Theresa M. Smerud delivered remarkable cast photographs for our 2013 performance of “Love, Loss and What I Wore.” Theresa’s 15 photographs spoke volumes about the show. She captured the unique personality of each cast member yet created a cohesive message with the images. Integrity. Creativity. Fun. These are synonyms for Theresa Smerud!

Theresa Smerud is my go-to source for fine art photography. She sees with an artist’s eye and has an unusual ability to capture the uniqueness and authenticity of each of her clients and subjects in beautiful, unexpected compositions. As a public relations firm owner, I greatly appreciate her ability to bring a consistent vision to branding campaigns, and her problem-solving skills allow me to hand over projects with confidence. I can explain the essence of what I need or desire and leave it to her knowledge and experience to make it happen. When I’m working with Theresa, I know I will love the final product — every time and without exception.
